It is slightly thinner on the rim at 1.5 vs 1.75 inches, but you also have the carved maple cap which can add some thickness in the middle. A lot will depend on the pieces of wood used. My H-140 ('87 model) is 3660 grams or 8.06 lbs.

The single cut, single dog-ear one looks awesome! Never saw that one before with the hillbilly crowbar.
