Flowlet timeout
WebTo cope with this problem, we propose Flex, a flowlet-level load balancing scheme based on load-adaptive flowlet timeout. Flex maintains a separate flowlet timeout for each flow, and dynamically updates the timeout value during the transmission of the flow to adapt to changes in path condition. WebOne recent research has verified that flowlet switching is more simple and efficient to achieve adaptive load balancing in asymmetric topology. Nevertheless, one tricky problem lies in determining the flowlet timeout value, δ. Setting it too small would risk reordering issue while setting it too large would reduce flowlet opportunities.
